Essential oils as aphrodisiac. Heaven on earth!

More passion, intimacy & emotional heights… it starts with a drop!

Essential oils as aphrodisiac…not really so weird as you think! What you eat can directly impact the quality of your sex life. And not just because you can’t stand the smell of garlic of cigarettes when you kiss someone :).

It impacts your hormones, brain chemistry, stress levels and emotions. This can be provoked by the look of the food or it’s psycho active properties . Some food constituents can actually increase the blood flow to the genitals.

This can also be said for essential oils people take, either internally in their food / drink, or when they smell the aroma’s (think of perfumes for example) or use essential oils topically.

An aphrodisiac triggers or stimulates sexual arousal through psycho-physical stimuli of our senses ( visual, olfactory, tactile, gustatory or aural stimulation) or internally, through the chemical constituents in food or essential oils.

Scentastic!

Some researchers say that 90% of what we taste is mainly determined by how it smells. Scent is probably the most powerful trigger in our life to like or dislike… food… people… you name it! Just ask yourself why you use a deodorant… perfume…after shave… For some of us their smell just make us feel good about ourselves i.e. attractive for other people… for others it’s a way to mask their body-odeur.

Which one would you prefer: Kissing someone who has just eaten garlic… or has taken a drop of Peppermint oil? There is a reason many toothpaste brands have peppermint in it! 🙂

When aroma’s reach our brain, they trigger our emotions and lymbic system. We all have different memories with smells. An aroma can trigger memories from long time ago. Some aroma’s just need to ‘grow’ on us to appreciate it’s true value. I had this with Lavender… didn’t like the smell in the beginning. But now I enjoy it. Same with the properties of essential oils. Even tough some aroma’s are known for their stress-releasing effects… it does not necessarily mean it has the same effect on you! However… if you have the choice between a natural aroma… or a chemically composed one… Which one would you prefer?

Heaven on earth!
