Workplace Wellness: Work-life Balance

Work Life Balance

Work Life Balance can be something we just dream of. With stress playing such a huge part in our lives, it’s always important to understand what is causing the stress and what to do about it. Sounds logical doesn’t it? But most of the times we are not even aware of the root causes of stress. And from an employer perspective this can mean you need to be creative in your offering  to get and keep the best (new) employees on board.

Creative working hours

There are only so many things  you can do as an employer to help reduce the stress load. Apart from facilitating the right culture, system and structures and rewarding the people financially right. The most common program employers offer their employees to help balance their obligations is a flexible work schedule. Whether it’s working from home or at the office.

There are many people making their hours in the evening or in the weekend. I now many entrepreneurs and employees who use those hours to the max: Creating a nice, calm climate with some essential oils with the phone switched of, focussing on the task ahead. And even tough we need to social interactions with our peers… we also ache for some quiet time to get things done with laser focus! Creating an aromatic bulb with some oils that help you focus might just be the missing link for you.

However… when it comes to employee benefits programs, other solutions for balancing work-life come up!
